Growth and Impact

Since the Boulevard Bolt began in 1994, participation and proceeds have grown each year allowing the Thanksgiving Day event to increase its impact on the Nashville community.

* Each spring agencies that benefit the homeless are invited to apply for the funds raised by the "Bolt". Each applicant is asked to state the intended use of the funds and a specific dollar amount required to meet that need. An Allocations Committee, made up of a member from each of the three participating congregations-Immanuel Baptist, St. Georges and the Temple, determines the priorities for funding and selects the organizations that will receive proceeds from that year's race.
